On Safari was born February 12 th 1992. In 1993 he was TICA's International 5 th Best Cat, 2 nd Best Shorthair Cat, BEST ABYSSINIAN, and BEST ABYSSINIAN KITTEN. He was also BEST CAT and BEST KITTEN in the NW Region.

I am extremely sad to announce that On Safari passed away on November 2oth 2007. He was a super cat in every way and I feel honoured to have shared his last years with him. He is buried at the foot of the honeysuckle vine that covers his run and where he spent many happy hours sunbathing and thinking wistfully about his next meal. Sincere thanks to the many breeders around the world who wrote to me to say that they have On Safari in their lines and that he will never be forgotten.

Thanks to my good friend Resa Bauer of Murteza Abyssinians (see photo to right) who entrusted Safro into my care when she was no longer well enough to continue looking after the cats she loved so much.
